Guangzhou, is the gateway to Southern China, and is within close proximity to Hong Kong and Macau. Lying in the centre of Pearl River Delta, the city is comprised of 10 districts and two county-level cities and has long been the political, economic and cultural centre of Guangdong Province.

As the capital of the Guangdong Province and the third largest city in mainland China after Shanghai & Beijing in terms of GDP, Guangzhou is a cultural melting pot, as well as a major industrial and commercial metropolis. The city is famous for a well-known event, Canton Fair. Held in Guangzhou, Canton Fair is the most famous trading event within China and was held twice a year since 1957. During the Fair, people around the world visit Guangzhou, fertilizing the wholesale business of the city and boosting the manufacturing sector in the whole Pearl River Delta area. Also, automobile sector is one of the most fast-growing industries in the city where Japanese auto companies clustering, including Honda, Toyota, Nissan and numerous auto parts companies.
