1. Head of Research, West China (Ref. CD-RSH-2007-107) CBRE Research
Responsibilities: • To supervise the collection and collation of property data for the company and to co-ordinate and execute research assignments for external clients as required on an ad hoc basis; • To set up effective due diligence procedures to ensure accuracy of data and reports produced are of a superior quality; • To prepare client briefings, press releases, in-house publications on a regular basis • To prepare PowerPoint and participate in job pitching presentations; • To work with other business line leaders to use research to drive client-based initiatives with the benefit of the broader support of the Greater China research team; • To assist the Senior Director of Research to build a successful research team that can consistently produce high quality research work; and • To carry out any other assignments as directed by the Management.
Requirements: • University graduate, majoring in surveying, statistics or economics; • At least 5 years' experience in property-related field, of which two must be in a supervisory role undertaking property research/consulting assignments in a multinational firm; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint; • Fluent English speaker, competent writing skills in English and Chinese; and • Ability to handle complex data and articulate research findings and opinions succinctly.
2. Manager/Senior Manager (Ref. CD-IPT-2007-47) Investment Properties
Responsibilities: • Reporting to the Managing Director, Chengdu, you will assist in the generation and execution of business for the acquisition or disposal of investment and development properties on behalf of clients; • As an integral part of the whole business planning and development, you are expected to recommend business strategies for increasing the profitability of the department, and implement such strategies; • Service existing clients, nurture client relationships and cultivate repeat business and referrals; • Build a track record for the company as a leading market player; and • Keep abreast of market developments and constantly source for market leads and information.
Requirements: • A successful track record with over 5 years' of relevant experience in property investments and a good understanding of the retail, residential, industrial, hospitality and commercial development in and around Chengdu; • A university degree from a recognised university; • Strong writing skills and an analytical mind. Specifically, the ability to articulate and encapsulate the risks and returns of a property being considered for acquisition or disposal; • A high degree of mathematical skill and an understanding of accounting principles; and • Excellent communication and presentation skills in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
3. Director (Ref. CD-CON-2007-74) CBRE Consulting
Responsibilities: • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, CBRE Consulting – China in coordinating and supervising the execution of assignments undertaken by the Department; • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Department; • Direct, manage, supervise and execute consultancy projects and activities; • Liaise with both existing and potential clients; engage in client relationship management; and • Drive growth and development of the consulting business in Chengdu.
Requirements: • At least 8 years' experience in real estate development and related business or consultancy; • Fluent spoken & written English and Mandarin Chinese, with sound writing skills in both languages; • A degree from a recognised university, preferably in Estate Management, Business or Economics; • A high degree of mathematical skills and accuracy in calculations; • Sound analytical skills paying particular attention to details; • Able to articulate research findings and opinions succinctly; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel and Power Point; • Frequent travel to other cities is required; and • Candidates with less experience will be considered for an Associate Director position.
4. Associate Director (Ref. CD-RET-2008-36) Retail Services
Responsibilities: • Take principal responsibility for the profitability of the Retail Services Department; • Manage and monitor the Department's revenue and expenses and ensure that profitability is in line with budget projections; • Plan and implement the Department's annual business plan; • Lead a team in servicing existing clients, nurturing client relationships and cultivating repeat business and referrals; • Generate new consultancy and leasing opportunities from retail owners, occupiers and investors who may be based locally, nationally or internationally; and • Respond quickly to business referrals generated by the CBRE Global Retail Network.
Requirements: • Degree or above with a solid track record in retail agency or consultancy; • Demonstrable leadership skills with over 6 years' experience managing a team; • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin; • Be highly disciplined and proactive with an appetite for challenges; and • Out-going personality and ability to work under pressure.
