IAOP/ ISG 2012 Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award
Information Services Group (ISG) (NASDAQ: III), a leading technology insights, market intelligence and advisory services company, and the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), the global, standard-setting organization and advocate for the outsourcing profession, announced that the inaugural IAOP/ISG Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award has been awarded to CBRE.
The award, established by IAOP and ISG, recognizes service provider excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The winner demonstrates exemplary leadership in, and ongoing commitment to, activities that foster community involvement, fair operating and labor practices, respect for human rights, attention to environmental impacts, consumer issues and good governance. CBRE was selected as the recipient for 2012 based on achievements such as becoming the first carbon-neutral global real estate outsourcing firm, markedly increasing corporate and employee giving to charitable and community organizations, and significantly expanding and improving its ethics and compliance program.
“On behalf of the more than 700 professionals at ISG, I want to congratulate CBRE on winning this award,” said Michael P. Connors, Chairman & CEO, ISG. “The commitment they have shown to addressing these critical issues is a model for the entire sourcing industry.”
“Being known as a responsible business is an essential element of our brand,” said Brett White, CEO of CBRE. “Increasingly, clients want business partners that share their values and CBRE works hard to be such a partner. We thank ISG and IAOP for this award and for recognizing the positive impact that CBRE professionals make in our communities and on the environment.”
“With rising global awareness surrounding social responsibility and the concept of doing well and doing good, we are experiencing a maturing of the outsourcing industry’s acceptance of CSR with an increased number of organizations considering provider CSR capability when making an outsourcing decision.” Dr. Bill Hefley, an active member of the IAOP CSR Subcommittee, said, “CBRE’s broad and varied initiatives in CSR far extend beyond simple reporting and chest-beating to being demonstrably an integral part of their everyday business.”
Added IAOP CEO Debi Hamill: "IAOP is thrilled to have established the Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award with ISG. It is important to recognize service provider excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility. We salute CBRE on their continued efforts and contributions; they have raised the bar for all of us.”
