Sam Martin is a Managing Director of Business Analytics at CBRE. He has 13 years of experience working in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Mr. Martin is an experienced consultant, known for his ability to help guide and support clients in the journey to become more data driven. His focus is on the development of reporting and analytical tools that leverage data in all its forms to drive superior outcomes.
CBRE’s Business Intelligence (BI) strategy is based on outcomes, not products. In his role Mr. Martin is tasked with developing analytics solutions for new and existing clients that enable Corporate Real Estate teams to drive greater business value. Sam is passionate about data and the untapped opportunities to continually improve by leveraging it in different ways. He plays an active role helping define, plan and execute on CBRE’s strategic initiatives in this space.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Martin worked at JLL with experience spanning a variety of roles that on both the Investor and Occupier sides of the business. He began his career managing a portfolio of investment assets that included office and industrial properties for multiple clients. After being recognized as the National Property Manager of the Year for the Americas, he then shifted to a corporate role as the National Product Manager for Americas Property Management. During that time Mr. Martin discovered the power of data and his interest in using it to drive better decision making. That led to his final role at JLL working as the Global Performance Manager for the firm’s largest financial services client. In that role he developed several analytics tools that went on to win company-wide awards for innovation.
