CBRE, in conjunction with owner Banyan Street Capital have announced the completion of over $2.5 million of renovations at 1355 Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta. Better known as The Peachtree, the Class A office tower is comprised of a 20-Story building containing a 10-story glass atrium with an abundance of natural light. Renovations included a complete redesign of the atrium lobby, which now features a signature suspended art installation by Dutch artist Peter Gentenaar, a new 50-person training and conference room, and multiple new spaces where tenants can hold impromptu meetings, relax, interact informally with co-workers, or work independently.

CBRE’s Katherine Lynch and Chris Port are leasing the property on behalf of Banyan Street Capital and funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, which acquired the building together in 2015.

"It's a thrill to represent a building so unique to the Midtown market. Every time I take someone through the renovated spaces in the building and to see the newly available balcony space, potential tenants are very excited about the transformation The Peachtree has undergone,” said Ms. Lynch, first vice president at CBRE. “We’re also pleased to announce a new to market 62,000-sq.-ft. block of contiguous space on the seventh, eighth and ninth floors. The space offers an exclusive 4,000-sq.-ft. outdoor balcony with unimpeded views of the Midtown skyline, Historic Ansley, and the Buckhead skyline. There is nothing else like it in Midtown.”

The Peachtree was built in 1989, designed by Smallwood Reynolds Stewart & Stewart. The building façade features Georgian architecture, replete with cobblestone and brick elements. Floor plates range from 6,000 to 30,000 sq. ft. Other building features include its close proximity to MARTA and walkable restaurants and bars, 24-hour security onsite, café with outdoor patio seating, and fitness center. Major tenants at the 345,254-sq.-ft. property include law firm Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, and the National Headquarters of The Arthritis Foundation along with dozens of other private wealth management firms, law practices, fin-tech companies, foundations and leading corporate users.
