CBRE has executed a 28,950-sq.-ft lease for insurance brokerage firm McGriff, Seibels & Williams at the newly constructed office building 3400 Overton in Atlanta’s Cumberland submarket. McGriff, Seibels & Williams will occupy its new office location at the end of 2018, taking over the entire third floor and parts of the first floor of the seven-story Class A property.
Located just inside I-285, at the intersection of Akers Mill Road and Cumberland Boulevard, 3400 Overton is in close proximity to the Atlanta Braves’ stadium, Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Cumberland Mall, and Cobb Galleria.
“Tenants looking for brand new, state-of-the-art space in a convenient location are drawn to 3400 Overton as it is surrounded by a vibrant retail and dining scene, and offers stunning views of Midtown, Downtown, and Suntrust Park,” said Mr. Heller, senior vice president at CBRE. “After the building was completed in July of 2017, we’ve received a lot of interest from potential tenants and are expecting to fill the remaining floor quickly.”
McGriff joins anchor tenant Synovus at the property. With McGriff’s commitment, only the second floor with 26,200 sq. ft., and approximately 7,200 sq. ft. on the first floor, remains available. The seven-story, 173,000-square-foot, all glass building boasts amenities such as an upscale café, a fitness center, an open, collaborative courtyard overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest, and covered parking for 650 cars.
McGriff offers a wide range of financial services, including actuarial services, alternative risk financing, claims management, and loss prevention, among others.
“3400 Overton provided McGriff, Seibels, & Williams a ‘blank canvas’ to create a progressive workplace environment for our employees. A new building with a rich amenity base within the Cumberland Galleria market has our team excited for the move,” said Read Davis, President at McGriff, Seibels & Williams.
