Chicago – July 9, 2018 – CBRE was awarded the TOBY International Building of the year award for the 36-story 100 N Riverside office building in Chicago. The award was given at the 2018 BOMA International Conference & Expo in San Antonio, Texas.
The TOBY Awards are the commercial real estate industry's highest recognition, honoring excellence in commercial building management and operations in specific categories of building size and type. During the competitions, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated - with everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and green policies and procedures considered.
In this review, the building obtained a 4.91 / 5.0 rating which included a 100% overall tenant satisfaction rating in 2017. The property holds nine tenant events and eight community service events annually. A culture of sustainability in the building that includes a monitoring-based commissioning program has saved 1.7M kWh per year, leading to a USGBC LEED Gold, Boeing Conservation Award, CBRE Sustainability Leaders of the Year, and an EPA EnergyStar score of 87.
